FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – The euro lost part of the profits it had made at the end of the week on Monday. In the morning, the common currency was trading at $ 1.1328, a little below the level on Friday evening. The European Central Bank had last set the reference rate at 1.1298 (Thursday: 1.1315) dollars (dollar rate).

On Friday, a mixed US labor market report weighed on the dollar in late trading. In particular, investors in the foreign exchange market focused on the employment trend. Significantly fewer jobs were created in December. At the beginning of the week, the focus is now on the publication of the unemployment rate for the euro area in November in the morning./la/eas
