Berlin Further coronavirus measures are emerging before the federal and state governments discuss the pandemic situation. Because of the rapidly expanding Omikron variant, access to cafes, restaurants and bars should in future only be possible for vaccinated and convalescent people with a test. Exceptions apply to people with a booster vaccination.

The rule should apply as early as January 15, but the date is still a matter of dispute.

In addition, the quarantine and isolation times are to be adjusted in order to keep staff losses to a minimum, especially in the critical infrastructure.
