Outgoing Czech government makes vaccination compulsory from the age of 60
The outgoing Czech government is planning to make vaccinations compulsory for people aged 60 and over, as well as for some professional groups. Health Minister Adam Vojtech announced this. However, it was unclear whether the measure will be implemented by Vojtech’s successor in office. Vojtech said his ministry will enact the ordinance in the coming week, making vaccinations mandatory for those aged 60 and over, as well as medical staff, police officers, firefighters and medical students. The measure should come into force in March – but it could turn out differently.
