ECB / De Guindos: Reasons for high inflation are becoming more structural

FRANKFURT (Dow Jones) – The reasons for the rise in inflation in the euro area are becoming more structural, according to Luis de Guindos, Vice President of the European Central Bank (ECB). According to a report by the Bloomberg news agency in Madrid on Tuesday evening, De Guindos said: “The ECB keeps pointing out that the rise in inflation over the past few months has been temporary. But we have also seen that these supply factors have become more structural and permanent over the past few months are.”
