The institute gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week at 404.5. For comparison: the previous day the value was 399.8, a week ago it was 319.5 (previous month: 106.3).
The health authorities in Germany reported 66,884 new corona infections to the RKI within one day. A week ago there were 52,826 infections. This is followed by Bavaria with 644.3, Brandenburg with 620.3 and Saxony-Anhalt with 616.5. The vaccination rate is below average in all five countries.
According to the RKI, 22 districts are now above the incidence mark of 1000. The Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district in Saxony currently has the highest seven-day incidence in Germany with a value of 1618.2. Fast 100.000 Corona-Tote
The RKI has counted 5,497,795 detected infections with SARS-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not recognized.
The number of Covid sufferers admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was given by the RKI at 5.60 (Monday: 5.28). The value now plays an essential role in assessing the occurrence of the infection. If limit values 3, 6 and 9 are exceeded in the federal states, stricter measures to combat the pandemic can be imposed there.
The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at 4,712,900. The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with SARS-CoV-2 rose to 99,768.
