Jungheinrich is building a new plant in the Czech Republic
FRANKFURT (Dow Jones) – Jungheinrich is expanding its production capacities with a new plant in Chomutov, Czech Republic. From 2023, so-called reach trucks, with which heavy loads can be lifted into high shelves, are to be manufactured here in particular. The construction is estimated at around 60 million euros, as Jungheinrich announced in Hamburg. More than 350 new jobs are expected to be created.
The current reach truck production at the Norderstedt plant is to be gradually relocated to the new Chomutov location. Jungheinrich intends to use the capacities freed up in Norderstedt for other growth.
