More vaccinations in Germany – the majority are booster vaccinations

BERLIN (dpa-AFX) – In Germany, significantly more vaccinations against the corona virus are being made again. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), 368,000 people had an injection given on Wednesday (as of Thursday, 11:22 a.m.). 246,000 of these were booster vaccinations alone. On Tuesday, 312,000 people were vaccinated – more than since August.

At least 67.3 percent of the population (56.0 million people) are now fully vaccinated. 69.9 percent (58.1 million people) received at least one dose of vaccine. According to this, 3.3 million people have already received a third so-called booster vaccination.

The RKI assumes, however, that probably more people are vaccinated among adults than the data suggests: 100% registration of the vaccinations cannot be achieved by the reporting system, according to the vaccination overview of the RKI.

There are also strong regional differences. While 81.5 percent of the population in Bremen is vaccinated at least once, in Saxony it is only 59.4 percent. The same can be seen in the case of complete vaccination protection, here too Bremen is at the top (79.0), while Things are at the bottom here too (57.3) ./ nku / DP / jha
