Survey: majority for the 2G rule in all football stadiums

BERLIN (dpa-AFX) – According to the wish of a majority of German citizens, only vaccinated and recovered spectators should be allowed into the German football stadiums. In a representative survey carried out by the Yougov opinion research institute on behalf of the German Press Agency, 60 percent of those questioned said they should only use the 2G rule for access to the arenas. According to this, 29 percent of Germans would not find this correct.

In the professional clubs in the Bundesliga and 2nd division there is no uniform rule for the admission of spectators. While some clubs are relying on the 2G model, Borussia Dortmund (BVB (Borussia Dortmund)) recently switched to a 3G model again. Fans who have tested negative for the corona virus are also allowed into the stadium. A negative citizen test is sufficient. Previously, there had been criticism from the ultra scene of the corona restrictions.

FC Bayern is one of the clubs with a 3G Plus concept. Fans who have neither been vaccinated nor recovered must present a negative PCR test. In return, there is no mask requirement, upper limits on the number of people, alcohol ban and minimum distance requirement.

Other clubs have interim solutions or option models. The clubs are dependent on the respective regulations in their federal states, which ensure a patchwork quilt. In view of the drastic increase in corona infections, Saxony recently announced that it would tighten protective measures and introduce 2G rules for football games as well. / Hc / DP / zb
